4 October 2019
FROM: AFLCMC/PZIBC (Krista Sabin) 1940 Allbrook Drive, Room 109 Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433
SUBJECT: Response to Inquiries regarding FA8601-19-Q-A103
QUESTIONS
1. QUESTION: The curtains are described as “gathered.” We interpret this to mean a rod pocket style panel, that’s shirred onto the rod, versus a panel with grommets using hooks to hang on the rod. With that said, we are assuming there should be a tension rod with finials, as we assume the rod will need to be taken down easily for housekeeping to launder the panels. Please confirm this assumption to be accurate.
ANSWER: A rod pocket style panel, that’s shirred onto the rod or panel with grommets using hooks to hang on the rod is acceptable.
2. QUESTION: Please note, the fabric is intended to be railroaded, but due to the size requested, this can’t be done. The pattern is intended for the stems/flowers to appear vertically, but will have to be turned and run across the panel horizontally. Please confirm this is acceptable.
ANSWER: Panels hung horizontally is not acceptable. Sew panels together as necessary to achieve the intended railroaded direction.
