DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE
AIR FORCE LIFE CYCLE MANAGEMENT CENTER (AFMC)
WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE OHIO
18 October 2019
FROM: AFLCMC/PZIBC (Krista Sabin) 1940 Allbrook Drive, Room 109 Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433
SUBJECT: Response to Inquiries regarding FA8601-19-Q-A103
QUESTIONS
1. QUESTION: In the most recent Q & A you have stated that the contractor shall provide the voice/data plate. The furniture systems have standard knockouts that accommodate standard faceplates, however, this is not typically provided by the furniture partner as the low voltage/communications vendor would normally prefer to supply this item. I am asking for confirmation that as part of our bid response, you are requiring that the furniture supplier include all the voice/data plates that would be needed for the furniture systems only?
ANSWER: Yes, contractor shall provide voice / data receptacle plates for furniture systems only. See image below.
2. QUESTION: CLIN0061 - Drawing for the privacy curtain shows the fabric railroaded.
Doing so will only allow the curtain to be 72” long instead of 6” 9” and will make a gap of 21” at the top not 12”.
ANSWER: 72” long privacy curtain is not acceptable. Order the appropriate yardage and sew panels together as necessary to achieve the intended railroaded direction and privacy curtain length.
3. QUESTION: Since this is an off base location, do we still need to quote installation at prevailing wage?
ANSWER: Wage Determinations for Greene County, OH have been posted.
4. QUESTION: Can we send this in via the DoD SAFE site (formerly AMRDEC)?
ANSWER: If you have access to DoD SAFE, you may send it, but please send a separate email to krista.sabin@us.af.mil to confirm submission via DoD SAFE.
PROPOSAL SUBMITTAL:
If sending your quote via email presents an issue, the options to submit your proposal are listed below. It is not in the best interest of the Government to extend the solicitation period for this issue.
1. Email – Please submit as much of your quote via email as you can. If possible, condense the files where appropriate. You may send multiple emails with attachments that completes your quote. Please number your emails so we can ensure all attachments are received. We will confirm receipt.
2. DoD SAFE – If you have access, you may submit via DoD SAFE. Please send an email to state your submission via DoD SAFE to Krista Sabin (krista.sabin@us.af.mil). We will confirm receipt.
3. Overnight shipping – If none of the above work, you may overnight ship your quote on a CD. The solicitation period will not be extended, but we will accept overnight shipped quotes and supporting documentation via CD, so long as they are sent prior to the closing time of the solicitation, 21 October 2019 at 1:00pm EST. Please send the tracking information to Tiffany Hoover via email (tiffany.hoover@us.af.mil) that shows the quote was mailed prior to 1:00pm EST. She will confirm receipt.
Address to ship:
Tiffany Hoover, Contracting Officer
1940 Allbrook Drive
Building 1, Room 109
Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433
Please note: The rule is the Contracting Officer must receive all quotes prior to the expiration of the solicitation period. We are allowing a one-time exception as it is in the best interest of the Government due to the availability of external submission sources and to still receive quotes in a timely manner.
