QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
• Dimensions: The requirement states "maximum 65x30." What specifically is the base looking for? Do they have a floor plan available to provide more bid accuracy? I have attached the layout of the office trailer.
• Floorplan Design: Refer to attached floor plan o If no floor plan has been created yet, what size offices are required for the noted four offices?
o The sheet references "larger offices." Is this in addition to the four corner offices? If so, what are the size requirements and where should they be located?
• ADA Access: The sheet references ADA steps for access. Will an ADA ramp also be required, or just step platforms? Yes, a ramp is required.
• Safety / Smoke Alarms: The specs note smoke alarms in each individual room. Is one also required in the larger open/central area? Is there a specific spec requirement for these alarms? Yes, there is a need for one in the larger area. No specifics, just that the alarms must be connected to the base fire alarm system notification.
• Site Labor Requirements: The document does not mention labor requirements. Will this project require Open Shop Labor, Union Labor, or Prevailing Wage? Is certified payroll required? That would be no to all parts.
• Base Access Requirements: Could you please provide specifics on requirements for installation crews to access the base (e.g., personal requirements, site safety training, or other clearances)? The Contractor shall contact the Government POC seven (7) business days before arriving on Tinker AFB in order to make arrangements for Visitors Passes.
The Government POC will assign a sponsor for the Contractor from within the organization. The Contractor and the sponsor shall arrange to meet at Pass and Registration, Building 6611 at the Tinker Gate, which is South of I-40 off Air Depot Blvd.

• Will there be a pre-bid site visit to inspect the installation site near Building 9400?
The government does not offer or require a site visit for this effort. However, an attachment with photos is provided to give insight of the current state of the installation site for your review.
• What foundation method is expected if a concrete slab is not used? Vendor is to prepare the site to accommodate the new trailer. Gravel can be used.
• Who is responsible for interfacing the fire alarm system with the base alarm shop (hardwired vs. wireless)? Tinker will be responsible for the connection. But fire alarms must be installed in the building by the contractor.
• Does the CAT-5 requirement include jacks, switches, or only the cabling? Yes, it includes jacks.
• Are there liquidated damages or penalties for not completing installation within the 7-day window? No, but work must be completed within 10 business days. That includes but not limited to site preparations, securing the trailer in place, and placing the steps, ramps, and skirting.
• Does the base require the ADA ramp and steps to be constructed from pressure-treated wood or aluminum? Aluminum preferred.
• If aluminum is acceptable, would a used aluminum ramp option meet the requirement, or must it be new? So long as it is structurally adequate and meets our needs, used aluminum is fine.
• What is the approximate distance to the electrical service from the planned trailer location? Our design anticipates a load of approximately 225–250 amps for this trailer size. About 10ft.
• What is the distance to the water and sewer tie-in points? We will need connection access to a 1-inch water line at 45–60 psi. Water approximately 60ft and sewer is about 30ft.
• We noted that the vendor is required to prepare the site to accommodate the new trailer and that gravel is acceptable. Can you offer insight or a photo of the current state of the installation site? Yes, please see attached
• We noted the work must be complete within 10 days from start to finish but we didn’t notice a specific required delivery date. Are there planned dates for the start of work/date of completion? This is from the date the trailer is delivered.
• Besides setting up the building, would you like us to hook up the water, electricity and sewer? Utilities hookups will be done by base personnel.
• If so, do you have a septic tank on site or would you like us to bring one? N/A
• Do you have electric and water hookups? Yes
• Can we come take a look at the site? The government does not offer or require a site visit for this effort. However, an attachment with photos is provided to give insight of the current state of the installation site for your review.
• Will I need a builder's permit? There is no work permit when a contract is awarded. The award allows the contractor to do the work on the installation.
• If no builder's permit is needed, could you please provide me with a letter confirming that we won't need one? Yes
