About this file

This file is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document for the ABDR Trailer contract opportunity (Solicitation FA8100-25-R-B007) issued by the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command. The document contains 34 detailed technical questions and corresponding government responses regarding specific requirements for Aircraft Battle Damage Repair (ABDR) trailers, covering aspects such as trailer specifications, power requirements, environmental resistance, tool configurations, and manufacturing details.

Key technical clarifications include confirmation that the trailer must be airlifted via rotary wing aircraft, traverse 15-degree terrain slopes, use a 2-inch ball hitch, operate at maximum speeds under specific conditions, and include external power outlets and work tables. The contract seeks to produce 45 trailers maximum per year over a 5-year base period, with potential for 83 total trailers over a 10-year contract period. The trailers will be commercial items with modifications, designed to support rapid aircraft repairs in harsh environments and deployed at multiple overseas locations. Delivery expectations include first production trailer within 120 days after initial approval, with subsequent production of two trailers per month.
