Question Answer
Will the Shlomo Katz paintings in the Jewish Chapel be a part of this effort?
No. The paintings are not currently included in the Inventory (Attachment 2), and they will not be added. The Shlomo Katz paintings in the Jewish Chapel will be removed by government personnel prior to the start of this contract.
How many Muslim rugs are there?
Only the carpet that covers the entire floor of the Muslim worship space will be moved and stored under this contract.
Is the large Muslim rug (on the Inventory) secured to the floor? Yes. The large Muslim rug is secured to the floor though it is unknown in what manner it is secured.
Describe truck access to the building.
Trucks can be parked on the patio level at the bottom of the main chapel stairs. Three of the parking barriers can be removed for vehicle access. Trucks can also be driven up the ramp on the west side of the chapel.
Is the contractor required to take a video inventory of the contents of the building?
No. A video inventory will be created by the government prior to move‐out, and can be shared with the contractor for informational purposes, though it will not be incorporated into this contract.
When will the Protestant Pews and Organs be removed? These items will be removed from the building under a separate contract that will commence in March 2019.
What are the specific climate control parameters?
No specific parameters have been determined by the government. PWS 1.14 lists requirements for long‐term storage.
What is the normal temperature range at the Chapel? Approximately 70 to 73 degrees
What needs filled out on the 1449? Refer to the RFQ. Addendum to FAR 52.212‐1(h)(2).
In reference to PWS Para 1.2, how much do all of the items weigh?
It is the responsibility of the contractor to determine the weight. The rate of $.60 per pound is only for loss and does not need to be calculated into the quote.
Does everything need unpacked? Refer to para 1.17 in the PWS.
Are subcontractors permitted? Yes, Subcontracting and Teaming Arrangements are encouraged.
Are the pew cushions from the Protestant Chapel going to be stored as part of this contract?
No. The pew cushions in the Protestant Chapel will not be added to the Inventory or moved and stored under this contract.
