About this file

This statement of work outlines the requirements for a Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements (SABER) contract at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. The contract will provide for non-complex construction projects under $1 million and potentially up to $2 million, including utilities, pavements, structures, environmental abatement, power generation, and earthwork.

Key projects under the initial task order include repairing the base swimming pool by installing a new saline chlorination system, replacing pool pumps and valves, repairing leaks, and replacing lighting and tiles. Renovations to the main pump house are also required, such as replacing doors, exhaust systems, and the chlorination unit. The contract will have a five-year ordering period with a minimum value of $5,000 and maximum of $50 million across multiple firm-fixed price task orders. Proposals are due by July 2018 and must demonstrate all necessary Qatar licenses and registrations. Joint Contingency Contracting System registration is also required for vendors receiving over $30,000.
