SOLICITATION FA568221Q0023 QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS: Clarification to Question #1 published on 12 November 2021:
Please see in red answer provided to further clarification request:
“Good morning Mr. Casadio, I would not like to be too picky, but the response you sent is not completely exhaustive.
From what is written I understand that the alarms checks every 2 days must be done from your computer, which guarantees the functionality checks of the various alarm devices, (Question) but does your computer also guarantee the checks on the functionality of the power supply batteries of the alarm devices?
As far as we are concerned, your control device (computer) must enable us to carry out all the checks required by the legislation as eventually the vendor will be responsible for the checks and the guarantee of their safety.
In the hope of having given a complete picture of the situation, we send our best regards.”
“Answer. Yes: the Computer Program can also give you the status of the power supply batteries and let you know when the level of them is becoming or is too low, it shows you a warning alert. All data remain recorded into the system and produce a log, where the Company can verify the information. This is in case when a power outage of the electrical system happened. Every single elevator has their own telephone line (DSN 632-XXXX) connected to a backup system”.
4. Question. Ref. to paragraph 4.6 of PWS, can the contractor provide the maintenance checks on the Automatic Phone Dialer (APD) remotely?
Answer. No, he cannot. The contractor is requested to accomplish a physical check (in person) of the system.
