About this file

This document is a List of Contractor Furnished U.S. Material (CFUSM) for a design and renovation project at the Misawa Air Base Fitness Center (Building 622) in Japan. The list itemizes 12 specific materials and equipment to be provided by the contractor, including electrical components (36 ground fault current interrupt outlets), telecommunications equipment (3 Cisco 7300 switches), emergency systems (62 emergency lighting units, fire alarm components, UPS system), mechanical components (sprinkler system parts, backflow preventors, drinking fountains), and building materials (mineral fiber insulation, STC-rated interior doors).

The document includes two critical notes: first, that transportation of these items must comply with DFARS 252.247-7023 for transportation of supplies by sea, and second, a provision regarding the disposition of surplus materials. If surplus contractor-furnished materials exempted from Japanese customs duties are retained by the contractor, they must fully disclose the settlement to local government customs authorities and be responsible for applicable duties and taxes. The document is an attachment (Attachment 7) to Request for Proposal No. FA520525R0002, dated 5 February 2025, for the Misawa Air Base Fitness Center renovation project.
