About this file
This Statement of Objectives (SOO) details a security system upgrade for the 20 Security Forces Squadron at Shaw AFB, South Carolina. The project involves replacing existing Honeywell Vindicator Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras at multiple buildings, including building 825, buildings 1843 & 1895, and building 1970/Commercial Vehicle Inspection Area. The scope includes installing 15 IP Fixed interior and 10 IP PTZ exterior cameras, adding two VICADS video management system workstations, and ensuring full integration with the existing VICADS V100 system.
The project requires the contractor to procure and install Department of Defense-approved equipment compliant with specific security regulations. Key requirements include camera image storage for a minimum of 30 days, integration with monitors in buildings 825, 1992, and 1970, and IDS integration into the Base Defense Operations Center (BDOC) and Alt BDOC. The anticipated period of performance is 6 months, including long-lead time for materials. The contractor must also provide a statement of work outlining these objectives and submit a quote for the project.
