Question Answer
In section L 2.3 Specific Instructions of the solicitation, offerors are to submit a breakdown to the component level of the 48 Divisions including materials, labor, and equipment. Can you please provide more detail on what is to be provided? Can you provide an example or sample? For example: Drywall and Metal Studs: scissor lift, screws, tape, beads, 4 man crew, metal framing, sheetrock. Is this what you are looking for?
We cannot provide a sample at this time. Use your best judgment to meet the intent of the requirement.
In the drawings, see below, it calls for 3‐5/8" metal stud framing. The specs however make no reference to metal studs and in fact reference wood framing.
Assume cold‐formed metal framing. The wood framing referenced is for in‐wall blocking.
On the Past Performance Information (PPI) tool, STEP#2:‐past performance, there are three tabs with last tab entitled 'POC and key individuals'‐ There is a sentence which states includes a term..."...who are proposed to support the instant acquisition".
Here what does it mean by "instant acquisition"?
Does is mean that acquisition/teaming‐up is a requirement for submitting a proposal?
This is a term used to identify the key individuals proposed on the current acquisition, which could include teaming partners. The PPI tool is a tool that is used for many different types of acquisitions, and it may be that not all portions are applicable to this acquisition. It does not mean that teaming‐up is a requirement for submitting a proposal.
1‐ Reference to sheet # M‐101, the 6” fire main indicated as the contractor scope while in sheet F‐ 501 / Note 2 , it is indicated that the fire main is by others. Please advise whether the 6” fire main with all associated works is the contractor scope or by others.
The six inch fire main and all accociated work is intended to be within the contractor's scope. The "By Others" reference refers to a different sub‐ contractor under the Prime contractor.
For the solicitation FA4659‐17‐R‐0001 we are required to provide a bid bond on the demonstration project. A project number is listed on the bid bond by the bonding company to verify the bond was pulled for the specific project. Are we to use the solicitation number for the total MATOC as the project number on the bid bond? Or should we use the project number that is listed on the demonstration construction drawings: JFSD200976A&B? Use the project number from the demonstration project.
Sheet A‐101, at Generator Pad there is a note “Generator Enclosure; see Electrical”. Sheet E‐601, states, “Mounted in Generator Enclosure Provided by Generator Enclosure Manufacturer”. Does this second note mean that the Generator Supplier will be providing the enclosure? Will the Owner be providing the enclosure? Will the GC be providing the enclosure? If the GC is supplying the enclosure, could a detail of the enclosure be provided.
The Prime Contractor is supplying the enclosure via the manufacturer. See the specification section 23 32 13, paragraph 2.8 for the details of the enclosure specified.
