Question Answer
" Could you tell me the height of existing structure for the demonstration project of solicitation: FA4659‐ 17‐R‐0001?"
Height varies from 13' 0" on the north to 15' 6" at the peak. All heights are from the roof deck to the top of the finished floor.
For the demonstration project for this matoc, Sheet FX101 calls for head replacement in areas. Are there asbuilts available? Would these show number of heads per area and ceiling type?
As‐builts are not available for fire suppression. See drawing Existing Sprinkler As‐ Builts (Dated 12/16/16) for additional information.
For the locker room, 133, what type of corrosion resistant pipe is required?
The corrosion resistant piping noted applies only to fire protection piping that is exposed below a ceiling or in a room without a ceiling. In lieu of providing different piping material, corrosion resistance may be obtained by painting all exposed fire protection piping.
How do you want us to address specific scopes of work that we traditionally do NOT self‐perform such as Fire Suppression, Mechanical, Plumbing, & Electrical? Do you want materials, labor, and equipment for these sections as well?
Provide materials, labor, and equipment for the complete project, not just for sections that are self‐performed.
I am hoping to find out if there is an incumbent contractor currently performing these services or if this is a new requirement. If there is an incumbent, could you please provide the contract number?
This is a new requirement.
Reference page 52 of the solicitation. L‐2.4 item # 8. Section describes electronic copies to be submitted in a word or excel file. Is pdf acceptable? PDF is acceptable.
Going through plans and specs for GFAFB B516 and portions of them seem like the Air Handling Unit is to be completely removed and replaced with a new unit and other parts seem like the Air Handling Unit is going to be staying, but getting retrofitted. I spoke with a couple contractors and as of now, they weren’t sure either.
Assume the existing Multi‐Zone unit is being replaced by a new AHU (Air Handling Unit).
Please clarify the intent of CLIN bid sheets pages 3 & 4 of 62 of the RFP. CLINS 0001, 1001, 2001, 3001 and 4001. We have been unable to locate the criteria for establishing these bid amounts.
The evaluation of pricing for the award of the MATOC will be based on the pricing of the Demonstration Project (attachment 2B, demonstration project bid schedule). CLINS 0001, 1001, 2001, 3001 and 4001 represent the respective ordering periods for each of the MATOC option years and are not priced.
Please advise of the referenced "schedule" location in the paragraph: 52.216‐22 Indefinite Quantity ‐(a) This is an indefinite‐quantity contract for the supplies or services specified, and effective for the period stated, in the Schedule. The quantities of supplies and services specified in the Schedule are estimates only and are not purchased by this contract. The "schedule" refers to Section B of the solicitation.
