1.0 INTRODUCTION

This proposal is for the installation of a domestic water line loop and a sanitary sewer main extension to serve a contractor storage area as part of the SABER seed project. The site is located east of Bldg 1861A, between 1st St. & 2nd St. and H St. & I St. at Camp Funston.

2.0 GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK & BUDGETARY PRICING

The contractor shall furnish the personnel, labor, equipment, materials, supervision, tools, vehicles, facilities, and other requirements necessary for, or incidental to, the performance of work in accordance with the scope of work set forth herein. The project will require the installation of approximately 1,530 LF of 6” PVC pipe for domestic water service and fire hydrants around the perimeter of the site. Where water pipe is adjacent to sewer pipe, it will be installed approximately 6’ deep in order for services to be installed under the sewer and still maintain the required 2’ in vertical separation. The project will require the installation of approximately 785 LF of 8” PVC pipe and 3 manholes for sanitary sewer service through the center of the site. Coordination with the contractor will be required in order to ensure manhole elevations are verified and site grading design does not violate cover requirements over the sanitary sewer pipe. The project will require asphalt removal and replacement and two associated road crossings. The project scope of work includes all coordination with the site occupants, and local DPW to ensure base approval and proper permitting. The work shall provide a turn-key installation and include all necessary installation work, new piping, testing, traffic control, clean-up and removal of construction debris, and restoration of all disturbed areas back to original conditions. See assumptions and exclusions listed in Section 4.0 below.

ASUS is pleased to submit the attached project budgetary price estimate for the $233,889.00. The development of the budgetary cost estimate is based upon the latest information available pertaining to the project scope and manufactures pricing information, and is presented in Appendix A of this submission.
