Statement of Objectives
Date: 11 May 2010 Project #: Seed 10-0073 Project Title: Rpr Wing XP
Provide a proposal to turn Wing XP area into Scif and VTC.
Phase I:
a. Detailed Statement of Work
b. List of UPB Line items (minus costs & quantities) and list of Non pre-priced items.
c. Sketch of layout.
Phase II:
a. Detailed Cost Estimate
b. Period of Performance
Objectives:
1. Repair and paint wall above suspended ceiling in all perimeter rooms to meet STC 45 requirements. Tape, mud, paint, and foam where required.
2. Remove all abandoned services and/or penetrations above ceiling in all spaces.
3. Repair all roof deck insulation above suspended ceiling.
4. Any conduit embedded in gypsum wall board shall be removed and surface mounted. Repair walls as required.
5. Man bars, canvas sleeves, and sound baffles shall be installed in penetrating duct work in 104, 105, and 106.
6. Install inspection ports as required.
7. The existing inspection port outside of room 104 in exterior main hallway to be secured and sealed.
8. Remove existing main door and replace with 4’ X 7’ SCT 45 door. Reuse existing metal frame. Door to have closer and “unican” lock. Existing “XO” lock to be reinstalled. Install power for ADT above door along with two penetrations for communications.
9. Wrap door opening in room 102 in oak when exposed concrete exists. Stain and seal as required.
10. All wall surfaces, ceilings, and floors to be protected during project to reduce costs.
11. Room 106 to be turned in STC 50 VTC with the following requirements.
a. All perimeter walls to meet STC 50 rating.
b. Remove all existing door in space removed.
c. (1) STC 50 3’ X 7’ oak door to be main point of entry all other openings shall be infilled to meet STC 50.
d. Door to have closer and standard door hardware.
e. Remove portion of wall between 105/106 in order to construct a new communication closet approximately 14’ X 5’ to support room 106 VTC.
f. Install (2) receptacles in communications room for racks by others.
g. Create vestibule inside STC 50 door to access comm. Room and VTC. Both doors to be Oak.
h. Build a false wall along south wall with hidden conduits for running communication equipment for VTC. Wall to be painted with white projection acceptable paint.
i. Relocate sprinkler heads as required.
j. Install stall new suspended ceiling with VTC acceptable lighting. Install dimmable can lighting around perimeter of room. Dimmable task lighting on table. Dimmable 2X2 VTC lighting. Dimmer controls for all lighting. Pwer as required to support equipment for VTC.
k. Skim coat and paint all remaining walls in 106.
12. All work will be IAW DCID 6/9 or applicable DNI SCIF construction guidance.
General Requirements:
Project includes, but not limited to the following work elements. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, services and incidentals. No alterations, additions, or deletions shall be made unless by prior approval of the SABER Project Manager and the Contracting Officer. The project is to be designed in accordance with the Base Design Guidelines. Work shall be completed in a neat, substantial and competent manner.
· Item 1: All work will meet the International Building Code, Uniform Plumbing Code, National Electrical Code, NFPA 72 and any other applicable code requirement.
· Item 2: Maintain work site in a clean and orderly manner so that the safest possible site is provided for workers and AF members.
· Item 3: In the event of a conflict between the drawings and the Statement of Work (SOW), the SOW will take precedence.
