About this file
This document is a Summary of Work (Section 01 11 00) for a HVAC repair project at Building 1907A on Joint Base McGuire/Dix/Lakehurst. The project involves comprehensive HVAC system upgrades and replacement, specifically focusing on the SIPR room's cooling infrastructure. Key work elements include removing existing mini-split air conditioning units, installing new 32 kW Liebert units with copper piping, installing a new 35-ton Trane stand-alone low ambient temperature chiller with specific manufacturer requirements, constructing a new concrete equipment slab, installing surface mounted bollards, and adding a new chiller pump in the mechanical room.
The project requires extensive electrical work, including installing new branch circuit breakers, disconnect switches, and wiring for the Liebert computer cooling unit and chiller. Additional requirements include installing a glycol feeder, insulating all piping, sealing penetrations, connecting the new chiller to the backup generator, implementing a comprehensive control system using JACE 9000 and Niagara framework, and providing detailed monitoring and alarm capabilities. The period of performance is 365 days, and the contract will be awarded using a Best Value Tradeoff process, with past performance weighted more heavily than price. The contractor must provide a preliminary project schedule, minimize facility disruption, and submit As-Built/Record drawings upon project completion.
