About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) addendum for the Underground Utilities Solicitation (FA448424R0026) related to a seed project. The Q&A addresses technical and procedural details for an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for underground utilities work at JB MDL NJ. Key details include clarifications on bid bond requirements (20% of proposal price or not to exceed $3M), past performance submission guidelines, and specific technical specifications for the project. Technical questions cover soil reuse for backfill, pipe bedding and restoration details, water meter sizing, existing water service line removal, and specific construction requirements such as HMA restoration (8" DGA, 6" HMA base course, 3" HMA surface course). The document confirms no NJDEP permit is required, and provides precise measurements for various project components, including a 50 LF water service line outside the airfield fence and a 30 LF distance from the new water meter to electrical service connection.
