About this file

This is Amendment 0001 to a Request for Quotation (RFQ) FA445226Q0030 for Gear Laundry Services issued by the Department of the Air Force, 763D Enterprise Sourcing Squadron at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. The amendment, dated 20 July 2026, modifies the original RFQ issued 13 July 2026 by changing the intended contract vehicle from a Firm-Fixed-Price Purchase Order to a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) and clarifying the ordering process. The quotation submission deadline has been extended from 21 July 2026 to 29 July 2026 at 1000 am CDT. Offerors are required to acknowledge receipt of this amendment with their quotation submission.

The amendment addresses 24 contractor questions regarding laundry service requirements for Joint Service Lightweight Integrated Suit Technology (JLIST) coats, pants, and sleeping bags. Key requirements include: pricing per item rather than by weight; ordinary laundering only with no specialized decontamination; return of cleaned items in bulk storage totes in the same manner as received; adherence to manufacturer care instructions including permanent press wash with warm water using mild non-phosphate detergent and tumble dry on low not exceeding 120 degrees; and no special certifications or hazardous material handling capabilities required. Items will arrive non-contaminated with no chemicals present. JLIST coats and pants typically weigh 2-3 pounds each, sleeping bags average 3 pounds each (8.7 pounds total), and storage/transport packs weigh approximately 1 pound. Equipment will be packaged in tri-wall containers or large rolling laundry bins for pickup. This represents a new service requirement with no incumbent contractor.
