About this file

This document is an Attachment (Attch 8) containing detailed facility equipment information and responses to potential questions for a refrigeration maintenance contract at Scott Air Force Base. The file lists six Bally walk-in refrigeration and condensing units located in the 1800 Dining Facility, with specific details including manufacturer model numbers, serial numbers, refrigerant types (R-404/R507 and R-22), and voltage (208/230).

The accompanying Q&A section clarifies key contract requirements, including the scope of service (six walk-in coolers and freezers, including a thawing room), equipment accessibility (currently located outside at ground level, with plans to move to raised pads), and maintenance expectations. The contract appears to cover both preventative maintenance (PM) inspections and potential corrective maintenance, with flexibility to add funding to labor and material line items as needed. The opportunity is associated with the Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command and is currently in a pre-solicitation stage for maintenance of refrigeration equipment at Scott AFB, Illinois.

RESPONSES TO POTENTIAL QUESTIONS

1) What types of Coolers/Refrigeration need to be serviced? Brand? Mfg. Part number or serial number for each? Six Walk-in Coolers and Freezer to include the Thawing Room.

They are in the process of being replaced so do not have technical specifications on the new equipment, however, please find attached the specification on the existing condensing units.

2) How are the serviceable items accessible? Will the contractor have room to access the equipment freely or are these in a tight space? Do you have pictures or some sort of layout? Equipment is easily accessible. Attached is a floor plan of the equipment.

Currently all condensers except for one are located outside and currently on ground level. Upon project completion, all condensers will be located outside and on raised pads. 3) Just for clarification is this requirement for PM inspection only or is it for repairs as well? The 3.0 SOW touches on providing a written quote for labor and material cost. Do you anticipate adding funding if corrective maintenance is required above CLIN 0002? The SOW is written to where we can add funds to the labor and material CLIN’s
