WALK-IN COOLER_FREEZER MAINTENANCE
SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, IL
03 JULY 2024
This acquisition is for services for fiscal year 2024-2025. This is a request for information only. This is not a request for quote/proposal and there is no solicitation package available at this time. The United States Air Force, 375 Contracting Squadron, Scott Air Force Base, IL is seeking sources to provide Walk-In Cooler and Freezer Maintenance Service identified on the attached draft Statement of Work.
Scott Air Force Base is conducting market research to determine the availability of businesses capable of providing preventative maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) on the refrigeration equipment. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811310, Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Repair Maintenance; Product Service Code (PSC) – J041, Maint/Repair/Rebuild of Equipment—Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, and Air Circulating Equipment and the business size is $12.5 Million. Anticipated Period of Performance:
01 OCT 2024 – 30 SEPT 2025 plus Four (4) Option Years.
Description of Service (See SOW) The Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, and equipment necessary to perform preventative maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) on the refrigeration equipment walk-in coolers and walk-in freezer located at the Dining Facility on Scott AFB, IL.
There are five walk-in coolers and one walk-in freezer with a built-in refrigerated thawing room. Each of the five walk-in coolers have one condenser with one evaporator. The walk-in freezer has two condensers, and each condenser has two evaporators. The walk-in freezer thawing room has one condenser with one evaporator.
The Contractor shall at a minimum perform all PM tasks IAW the manufacturer’s instructions and recommendations to include, but not limited to operational inspections of the units, clean the condensing and evaporator units as required, and check fluid and refrigeration levels.
The contractor shall provide a written service report on the operational status and recommendations after each preventative maintenance inspection. The contractor shall provide a written quote detailing what work is to be accomplished, and separate labor and materials costs for any additional maintenance and/or repairs outside the scope of PM as identified in paragraph.
The Contractor is responsible for the analysis, characterization and proper handling of waste generated by their operation. If hazardous wastes are generated, the Contractor shall properly contain the waste and it will be Government’s responsibility to properly dispose.

Qualifications (See SOW)
• Vendor must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM).
• If your SAM does not have NAICS 811310 associated, it is suggested you add NAICS Code
811310 to “Reps & Certs” in SAM. If not included in reps and certs or added, verification of size standard may be required via email.
Contract Type 375 Contracting Squadron is anticipating a firm fixed contract.
