TASK ORDER STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)
CONTRACT METHOD: 100% Plans & Specs
PROJECT NUMBER: MXRD 11-0070
PROJECT TITLE: Demolish Building 1103
DATE: 12 Mar 2019
1. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
1.1 The intent of this project is to demolish Building 1103 (B1103) in accordance with the MACC IDIQ Basic Statement of Work (SOW), MACC IDIQ Appendixes, and Task Order MXRD110077 SOW and attachments.
2. LOCATION
2.1 This project is located at Building 1103 on Hanscom Air Force Base.
2.2 B1103 is located in Lexington, MA

5. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE (POP)
5.1 The POP shall total 210 calendar days based on the following:
Pre-Construction / Submittals 30 Calendar Days Physical Construction 150 Calendar Days Project Closeout 30 Calendar Days
5.2 The POP shall commence upon Task Order Award.
6. TASK ORDER SPECIFIC GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
6.1 This task order will NOT revise Division 1 Specifications included as Appendix #1 to the Basic MACC IDIQ Contract.
6.2 This task order will NOT require any additional Division 1 Specifications.
7. SCOPE OF WORK
The following items of work are included in this task order. See attachments 1 through 5 for more detailed information.
7.1 Demolish B1103 – work includes the removal and proper disposal of all hazardous materials and complete removal of the building and all subsurface foundations.
7.1.1 Hazardous Materials Abatement
Remove and properly dispose of all hazardous materials within B1103. See hazardous materials testing reports included as attachments 3, 4, & 5.
7.1.2 Building Transformer
The CARDNO ATC Hazardous materials report states that they did not observe any dry or wet transformers in B1103. B1103 has a 150 Kva transformer in the basement. The 150 Kva transformer shall be tested for PCB’s and properly disposed of.
7.1.3 Water in Basement
The basement of B1103 has known groundwater infiltration. Depending on the time of year the contractor may encounter up to 3 feet of water in the basement.
7.1.4 Facility Demolition
Remove the facility in its entirety to include all building elements below grade. All demolition waste shall be properly disposed of off base.
7.2 Site Demolition – Remove all pavements and curbing within the limits of work as shown on project plans.
7.3 Utility Demolition – Remove all utilities providing service to B1103 within the limits of work as shown on project plans. Unless otherwise specified all utilities shall be cut and capped in accordance with industry standards.
7.4 Site Restoration – Patch all asphalt pavements damaged as a result of demolition or as shown on the project plans. Ensure proper grading so that there is no ponding of water. Install vertical granite curb and concrete sidewalks as shown. Provide sufficient clean fill to meet the grades and elevations shown. Provide 6” of topsoil and seed all disturbed areas within the limits of work.
7.5 Archaeological Protection – B1103 sits in a historic district and borders a Revolutionary War archaeological site. Contractor shall adhere to the Archaeological Protection Plan (Appendix #7).
