ISSUE / COMMENT QUESTION GOVERNMENT RESPONSE
1 Section L0003 2.4.2 Streamline Defense has only one question regarding the AFSOC SETA V RFP, as amended through Amendment 2: in Section L, under 1.0 General Information, sub-paragraph 2.4.2, Electronic Copies, specifies that, "In addition to the paper copies required by Table L0003-1, the entire proposal shall be submitted on a virus-free CD-ROM in electronic file formats compatible with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Adobe Acrobat is not acceptable."
As much of the documentation required for the model contract exists only in Adobe Portable Document Files, this provision restricting the use of Adobe Acrobat will cause an excessive amount of work to recreate those documents in Microsoft Office file formats, and at the risk of introducing errors as we translate existing Adobe files into Microsoft Office files. Would the Government reconsider allowing the submission of Adobe Acrobat files specifically for the model contract?
Section L0003, paragraph 2.4.2, revised to read "In addition to the paper copies required by Table L0003- 1, the entire proposal shall be submitted on a virus-free CD-ROM in electronic file formats compatible with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Adobe Acrobat is acceptable except for Attachment 1 and Attachment 6."
