About this file
This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Wilson Hall Facade Repairs and Restoration at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in Batavia, Illinois. The project is divided into multiple phases and options across different years (2026-2030), with detailed bid forms for Phase 1 (East Elevation in 2026) and Phase 2 (North/South Elevations in 2027-2030) under Option 1, and Phase 3 (West Elevation in 2027-2030) under Option 2. The comprehensive bid includes various construction activities such as project mobilization, selective demolition, concrete repairs, masonry cleaning and repair, waterproofing, sealant application, and high-performance coatings.
The bid documents provide extensive unit pricing for potential scope adjustments, allowing the Fermi Forward Discovery Group (FFDG) flexibility in modifying work quantities. Each phase and year's bid includes lump sum and unit price components, with specific quantities for different repair types like partial-depth concrete repairs (topside, vertical, undersides, beams, columns), rout and seal repairs, masonry work, and coating applications. Bidders are required to submit comprehensive pricing for each phase and option, with the proposal due on February 17, 2026, to be sent electronically to cdaley@fnal.gov. The bid allows for potential increases or decreases in work scope through detailed unit pricing mechanisms.
