The contractor is required to complete the rehabilitation work, including fabrication and installation of a crutch bent to remove weight restrictions, all traffic control measures, functional checks, operations and maintenance manuals, and as-built surveys and drawings, in accordance with the contract specifications and drawings.
The surety bond amount is to be determined and filled in by the parties at execution. The bond protects the County of Volusia against contractor default and obligates the surety to indemnify and hold harmless the County, its officers, and employees from liabilities and damages caused by contractor negligence, recklessness, or intentional wrongful misconduct. The bond remains in effect for the duration of the contract term and the guarantee period for all work and materials. All claims under the bond must be pursued in accordance with the notice and time limitation provisions outlined in Florida Statute Section 255.05. The surety waives notice of any changes, extensions, or alterations to the contract terms and acknowledges that such modifications do not affect its bonding obligations.
