About this file
Exhibit B is a Mandatory Equal Employment Opportunity Language document from the State of New Jersey, specifically referencing N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 for goods, professional service, and general service contracts. The document outlines comprehensive non-discrimination requirements for contractors and subcontractors, mandating that they will not discriminate against employees or applicants based on age, race, creed, color, national origin, ancestry, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or sex.
The document requires contractors to take affirmative action in employment practices, including recruitment, hiring, compensation, training, and promotion. Contractors must post non-discrimination notices, inform recruitment agencies of their non-discriminatory policies, and submit documentation such as a Letter of Federal Affirmative Action Plan Approval, Certificate of Employee Information Report, or Employee Information Report Form AA302 prior to contract execution. The requirements align with New Jersey state regulations and federal laws, and contractors must make good faith efforts to employ minority and women workers consistent with county employment goals established by the state.
