Payment and Performance Bond Form Summary
This document is a Payment and Performance Bond Form (Form 337-18, Version May 6, 2014) applicable to the Air Traffic Control Tower Rehabilitation project in Florida. The bond form serves as a surety instrument required for the construction and rehabilitation work at Flagler Executive Airport, establishing financial security for project completion and contractor payment obligations. The form establishes the bonding requirements and conditions under which the surety company guarantees the contractor's performance of work and payment to laborers and material suppliers. This bond is a standard requirement for the Air Traffic Control Tower Rehabilitation project, which encompasses building envelope repairs, structural improvements, HVAC system replacements, interior finishing, and access control system upgrades as detailed in the Design Criteria Package (DCP) provided for the solicitation.
The Payment and Performance Bond Form specifies the financial guarantee terms and conditions that contractors must secure prior to contract award and project commencement. The bond protects the Florida jurisdiction and airport authority against contractor default while ensuring that workers and suppliers receive payment for services and materials provided. The surety company executing this bond becomes jointly liable with the contractor for performance obligations and financial commitments. Standard bond conditions include provisions for claim procedures, indemnification, and the surety's authority to remedy any contractor default, establishing clear contractual relationships among the contractor, surety, and project owner throughout the duration of the Air Traffic Control Tower Rehabilitation project.
