About this file
This is an Amendment 01 to RFP ESH_351002_DA containing questions and answers for the Installation of Bedrock Wells at Booster Neutrino Beam (BNB) project at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. The document addresses two technical questions from prospective offerors.
The first question clarifies that HQ core samples (2.5" diameter) with an oversized bit of 5.5" are acceptable substitutes for the originally requested PQ size core drilling, provided the bit drills a 5.5-inch diameter borehole. The second question addresses portable bathroom vendors, with Fermilab indicating that while they don't maintain an approved vendor list, Service Sanitation and Pit Stop are commonly used by other projects on the property.

AMENDMENT 01 to RFP ESH_351002_DA Installation of Bedrock Wells at Booster Neutrino Beam (BNB)
Responses to Prospective Offerors’ Questions
Question 1: Core drilling requested is PQ size; can this be substituted for HQ core sample (2.5” diameter) with an oversized bit of 5.5” to accommodate well installation?
Response 1: Yes, an HQ core sample would be an acceptable substitute as long as the bit drills a 5.5-inch diameter borehole.
Question 2: What vendor(s) for portable bathroom is already approved to be on premises?
Response 2: Fermilab does not maintain a list of approved portable bathroom vendors;
however, other projects on the property commonly use Service Sanitation and Pit Stop.
