The Contractor shall not discharge smoke, dust, and other pollutants into the atmosphere that violate the regulations or any legally constituted authority.

Contractor shall not discharge construction equipment engine exhaust emission constituents (i.e., organic compounds, carbon monoxide, oxides of nitrogen, etc.)

that may require the use of respiratory protection or that may result in the degradation of air quality in the work area. Contractor shall also abate dust by cleaning, sweeping, and sprinkling with water, or other means as necessary.

Site operations may create odors or emissions that in turn, may create a nuisance.

The Contractor shall take whatever steps are necessary to abate any nuisance including, but not limited to:

1. Maintaining adequate ventilation within demolition area or implementation of other control measures necessary to prevent accumulation of construction equipment engine exhaust emissions within work area.

2. Prevention of surface water run-on and run-off from debris stockpiles.

3. Temporary cessation of operations pending more favorable environmental conditions.

C. NOISE CONTROL

Noise from Contractor's operations shall not exceed limits established by applicable laws or regulations and in no event shall exceed 85 dBA at a distance of 50 feet from
