NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS

RE: MT PARK 2013(1)B

Gardiner Gateway, Phase 2 Solicitation No. DTFH70-15-R-00014

The attached preliminary plans are being furnished to aid prospective Offerors in identifying the location and type of work for this project. The project will be advertised during a period when viewing of the project may not be possible due to snow. Therefore, prospective Offerors are encouraged to view the project during fall as conditions permit. Although access to Gardiner Montana is open year-round, viewing of the site after November will be weather dependent;

contact the Yellowstone National Parks 24-hour road information for current road conditions at 307-344-2117 or http://www.nps.gov/yell/conditions.htm. No Federal Highway Administration personnel will be available for show-me tours.

Who can bid as a Prime – This project will be solicited to the Yellowstone, Grand Teton & Surrounding Area MATOC contractors. If your firm is not a listed MATOC contractor, you cannot submit a bid as a prime contractor. We encourage non-MATOC firms to consider one of the many subcontracting opportunities. Information on the MATOC contractors may be found on our web site at: http://www.wfl.fhwa.dot.gov/contracting/construction/idiq/ygt.htm

Two Bid Schedules - The work will be solicited under two alternate schedules, with different amounts of work in each schedule. One schedule will be awarded. See the Description of Work document for additional details.

• Schedule A consists of all work.

• Schedule B consists of all work plus additional pedestrian amenities such as stone curbing, stone edging, masonry seat walls, and trash receptacles.

Project Location and Type of Work - All project work is located in Gardiner, Montana. The project straddles Yellowstone National Park/Park County, Montana jurisdictional boundary.

Work includes grading, base, paving, curbs and sidewalk, drainage, stone masonry and roadside development

Technical Questions – All technical questions must be submitted by email plans_spec@dot.gov (plans_spec@dot.gov) or FAX 360-619-7932

General Questions - Contact our office at wfl.contracts@dot.gov or at 360-619-7520.
