About this file
This document is a Facility Exhaust System Requirements Matrix that is part of a Draft Request for Proposals (RFP) for a contract opportunity at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC).
The key requirements outlined in the document include providing an independent exhaust plant capable of meeting specified pressure, flow rate, and duct velocity parameters; maintaining fast system preparation and pump-down times; meeting OSHA emissions standards; and providing pressurized air and cooling water systems to support the exhaust system. The control system requirements specify that the exhaust system shall be internally controlled with no closed-loop control or active automation feedback to other facility systems. The document also includes detailed design conditions, constraints, standards, and utility budgets that the offeror must comply with. Overall, this matrix lays out the technical and performance requirements for the facility exhaust system that offerors must address in their proposals for the competitive acquisition.
