About this file

This Data Requirements Description (DRD) details NASA's Supply Chain Visibility (SCV) Reporting requirements for prime contractors. The document outlines a mandatory reporting process where contractors must use the NASA Supply Chain Insight Central (SCIC) platform to provide comprehensive supply chain information for NASA mission programs and projects.

Contractors are required to submit an initial report within 90 days of contract award, followed by bi-annual updates every six months throughout the contract duration. The reports must cover three tiers of the supply chain, including detailed information about entities such as operating names, contract performance locations, unique identification codes, contract dates, and descriptions of products/services. The reporting aims to enable proactive Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) by providing NASA with visibility into contractors' supply chains, supporting situational awareness, planning, and informed decision-making at project, program, center, and agency levels.
