About this file
This is a supplemental appendix to the Request for Proposal issued by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation for RFP DoIT 2025-067, a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) engagement. The document outlines the field technician support equipment and tools that the MSSP vendor must furnish, maintain, and calibrate to support network and communication infrastructure for NHDOT's TSMO Bureau and TMC operations. The vendor's field technician responsibilities explicitly exclude ITS equipment and hardware connected to the network, focusing instead on troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining networking, cabling, and power systems.
The required equipment spans five primary categories: network diagnostics and troubleshooting tools including a laptop with network analysis software (Wireshark, PuTTY), network cable testers, packet sniffers, fiber optic test kits, Ethernet crimp tools, tone generators, and portable network switches; cabling and connectivity supplies including assorted Ethernet cables (Cat5e/Cat6), fiber optic patch cables, connectors, terminators, cable management tools, and labeling equipment; power and electrical tools including digital multimeters, Power over Ethernet testers, AC outlet testers, portable UPS units, and assorted power cords and adapters; general hardware tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, safety equipment, cleaning supplies, and small parts organizers; and communication and documentation equipment including mobile phones with hotspot capability and tablets or rugged laptops for accessing schematics, documentation, ticketing systems, and remote management tools. The vendor assumes full responsibility for acquiring and maintaining all specified equipment to ensure field technicians can effectively support NHDOT's critical infrastructure security requirements.
