About this file

This justification document outlines a contract for roadway lighting on the CO FLAP US 36(1) Downtown Estes Park Loop project. The Federal Highway Administration Central Federal Lands Highway Division requires lighting systems from Amerilux, Leotek, and WJM totaling an estimated $435,000 in order to match existing infrastructure maintained by the Town of Estes and Colorado Department of Transportation. A justification is made under FAR 6.302-1 that only these name brand products are compatible with the current systems and readily available parts held by the maintaining agencies. The justification and solicitation will be posted publicly, and all costs will be analyzed to ensure fair and reasonable pricing. No market research was conducted due to the need for consistency with established specifications and systems.
