About this file
This document is a Site Survey Report for the QRI ARSR (Air Route Surveillance Radar) facility located in Lynch, Kentucky, dated May 30, 2024. The survey was conducted to address security concerns related to the existing closed-circuit television (CCTV) system, which is currently non-operational and compromising site security. The findings recommend a comprehensive replacement of the security monitoring infrastructure, including four stationary outdoor cameras, one PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) outdoor camera, the digital video recorder (DVR), and the computer monitor.
The specific recommendations include: (1) installing new cameras capable of capturing clear images of vehicle drivers and license plates at the site entrance, (2) replacing the existing DVR with a newer model, and (3) upgrading the computer monitor to one with improved image quality. The site is situated approximately 50 miles northwest of Kingsport, Tennessee, and is maintained by the Tri Cities System Support Center personnel. The survey was conducted by Cassandra Belton and Thomas Ferguson, with contact information provided for follow-up communications.
