About this file
This is a Bid Bond form issued by the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) in Idaho for the Eckert Road Bridges 2147 and 2148 project. The project encompasses major construction work including demolition of existing bridge structures; construction of new bridges over the Boise River and Ridenbaugh Canal; construction of a single-lane roundabout at the intersection of Eckert Road and Boise Avenue; and reconstruction of roadway approaches. Additional project components include a multi-use pathway along the west side of Eckert Road, a Greenbelt underpass beneath Eckert Road, modifications to Barber Park driveway access, roadway excavation and embankment, pavement construction, curb and gutter work, sidewalks, retaining walls, drainage improvements, irrigation and utility adjustments, traffic control, permanent signing and pavement markings, illumination, landscaping, erosion and sediment control, and environmental protection measures. All work involving irrigation and bridge construction must comply with the NMID Approval Letter dated July 16, 2026, unless otherwise approved by the irrigation district.
The Bid Bond requires contractors to submit a bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the total proposal amount as security for the bid. Upon contract award, the principal must execute a contract with ACHD within ten days (excluding weekends and legal holidays) and furnish Performance and Labor and Material Payment bonds to satisfy the bid bond obligation. The form requires execution by the principal and surety, with the surety agent's Power-of-Attorney documentation mandatory for bond validity. This bond serves as a guarantee of the contractor's good faith and commitment to enter into the construction contract on the terms proposed.
