About this file
This solicitation is for a two-phase design-build construction services contract to upgrade three existing boilers and supporting equipment at Building 1286 Steam Plant on Hill Air Force Base in Utah. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District will replace the three boilers with two new dual-fuel 50 million Btu/hour boilers achieving ultra-low NOx emissions of 9 parts per million. Additional work includes removing existing underground fuel oil storage tanks and replacing with aboveground storage tanks sized for seven days of peak heating season storage, seismic retrofitting of existing buildings, and upgrading supporting equipment such as deaerators and pumps. Interested contractors are responsible for self-identifying on SAM.gov and coordinating with other interested vendors, as USACE will not review capabilities statements or coordinate partnering arrangements. The magnitude of construction is estimated between $10-25 million.
