Register of Wage Determinations Under the Service Contract Act
This document is a wage determination register issued by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment Standards Administration, Wage and Hour Division, applicable to service contracts in Virginia, the District of Columbia, and Maryland (including Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Fairfax County, Falls Church, Fauquier, Loudoun, Manassas Park, Prince William and Stafford counties in Virginia; all District of Columbia counties; and Charles and Prince George's counties in Maryland). The determination, numbered 2015-4281 (Revision 39), was last revised on August 22, 2026, and establishes prevailing wage rates that contractors must pay employees performing work on covered federal contracts.
The wage determination lists over 300 occupational classifications across multiple service categories including administrative and clerical occupations, automotive service, food preparation, furniture maintenance and repair, health occupations, information technology, instructional occupations, materials handling and packing, mechanics and maintenance and repair occupations, personal needs occupations, plant and system operations, protective service occupations, recreation occupations, stevedoring and longshore work, technical occupations, and transportation and mobile equipment operations. Wage rates range from approximately $15.47 to $61.08 per hour depending on the occupational classification and experience level. The document specifies fringe benefits requirements of $5.92 per hour (up to 40 hours weekly or $236.80 per week/$1,026.13 per month) and notes Executive Order 13786 paid sick leave requirements and Executive Order 13658 prevailing wage requirements for certain contract periods. Employees are entitled to two weeks paid vacation after one year of service, three weeks after five years, and four weeks after 15 years. Special pay differentials apply for hazardous work (8 percent) and lower-hazard positions (4 percent), while night shift and Sunday premium pay provisions apply to specific occupations such as air traffic controllers and weather observers.
