About this file
This document is an Asbestos Report from AdamLabs, Inc. for the 9th Munitions Squadron at Beale Air Force Base, detailing asbestos findings in buildings B1322, B1319, and B24175. The survey, conducted on May 22, 2024, identified two types of asbestos-containing materials: green glue with black mastic (approximately 140 sq. ft., 1% asbestos content) and glue with black mastic (approximately 1,573 sq. ft., 1-10% asbestos content), both categorized as Category I non-friable asbestos-containing material.
The report recommends that all identified asbestos-containing materials must be properly removed prior to any renovation or demolition activities, in accordance with State OSHA and Federal Regulations. Specifically, for buildings 1322 and 1319, all carpet glue with back mastic shall be treated as non-friable asbestos-containing material. For building B24175, no access was achieved during the survey, so all building materials should be treated as asbestos-containing until proven otherwise. An Asbestos Abatement Plan can be provided upon request, and all removal must be performed by a licensed contractor certified by the State of California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).
