About this file
This document is a collection of maps depicting fuels reduction project areas managed by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation across California. The maps illustrate planned vegetation management and hazardous fuels reduction initiatives across multiple reservoir and project lands.
The Auburn Project Lands section includes six shaded fuel break areas: Applegate (61 acres), Auburn Lakes (552 acres), Cool-Pilot Hill (171 acres), Georgetown-Greenwood (598 acres), Kings Hill (31 acres), and Monte Verde Estates (40 acres). The Folsom Reservoir Project Lands section comprises three areas: Granite Bay (232 acres) in Placer County and Folsom Lake (333 acres) in El Dorado County, plus Todd Valley-Foresthill (518 acres). The Trinity County fuels reduction areas include Buckhorn Dam (77 acres), Lewiston (220 acres), and Trinity Dam (372 acres). Shasta County contains two fuels reduction areas: Whiskeytown/Spring Creek (177 acres) and Redding-Shasta Lake City (1,162 acres). Additional areas are located in Tehama County (City of Red Bluff, 172 acres) and Glenn County (Stony Gorge Reservoir, 444 acres). Each map indicates Bureau of Reclamation land status, showing Fee and Withdrawn acreage designations, along with geographic reference points, contour lines, and surrounding land management boundaries. The project areas are depicted in magenta/pink highlighting on satellite imagery and topographic base maps with scale bars and directional orientation.
