About this file
This technical specification document is from the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) Facilities Management Section for the Wyeth Scale House Replacement Project located at Westbound Interstate 84, Mile Point 54.5 in Cascade Locks, Oregon. The project involves a comprehensive construction effort to replace an existing scale house, with detailed specifications covering multiple construction divisions including site preparation, concrete work, structural components, architectural finishes, mechanical systems, and electrical infrastructure. The project specifications are dated January 29, 2025, and outline comprehensive requirements for materials, installation methods, testing, and quality control across various building systems and components.
The specifications include specific requirements for materials sourced under the Buy America provisions of House Bill 3332, which mandates that steel, iron, and manufactured products used in the project must be produced in the United States. Materials must meet strict standards, with at least 55% of component costs originating from U.S. manufacturing. The project requires detailed submittals, testing protocols, and documentation for all materials and installation processes, with particular emphasis on quality assurance, thermal performance, and compliance with current building and electrical codes. Contractors will be required to provide extensive documentation, including shop drawings, material certifications, test results, and as-built documentation upon project completion.
