About this file

This is a Price Breakout Schedule template required for construction proposals submitted to the VA Network Contracting Office 9 for the Steam Distribution System upgrade project at Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee (Project #626A4-22-202, Solicitation #36C24926R0017).

The template mandates that contractors provide detailed price breakdowns organized by construction divisions, with line items separated into Labor, Material, and Equipment columns. All proposals must include general conditions costs with itemized breakdowns covering superintendent, project manager, field office engineer, builder's risk insurance, site maintenance, travel, lodging, and other overhead items. The schedule spans 33 divisions including General Requirements, Concrete, Masonry, Metals, Wood and Composites, Thermal and Moisture Protection, Openings, Finishes, Specialties, Equipment, Furnishings, Special Construction, Fire Suppression, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Communications, Electronic Safety and Security, Earthwork, Exterior Improvements, and Steam Energy Distribution. Contractors must break down costs to the greatest degree possible for each division rather than submitting lump sum pricing. The template includes calculations for material tax (6 percent), overhead (10 percent), profit (10 percent), and bonds/fees/permits/licenses (3 percent). All proposals must include the applicable VA Medical Center, proposal date, job title, project number, and solicitation number. Lump sum pricing for entire divisions or subdivisions will not be accepted, and the Government reserves the right to request further price breakdowns beyond initial submissions.
