Drafting The appropriate DFA OCSE IS staff will draft the IR.
Level of clearance The appropriate DFA OCSE IS staff will forward IRs to the executive staff members responsible for the affected business areas for review, comment, and determination of required level of review.

2. Other DFA OCSE executive staff may be included as additional reviewers when their primary business area is affected. The initial determination of the requestor and additional reviewers is made by DFA OIS staff.
3. The requestor or additional reviewer shall be responsible for adding other reviewers as needed.
4. The DFA OCSE Administrator will be included as an additional reviewer on any high-profile issues or those related to federal regulation or oversight.
5. IRs with significant impact on customers or the day-to-day work of DFA OCSE staff, including issues with or enhancement of existing business processes and development and implementation of new business processes, must be forwarded to the DFA OCSE executive staff for review and approval, with final approval by the DFA OCSE Administrator.
6. Any IR affecting a technical issue, such as system issues or software updates, and requiring notification through an alert or broadcast due to the impact on staff or customers, must be forwarded to the DFA OCSE executive staff for informational purposes.
7. Any changes to an IR will be forwarded to the appropriate DFA OCSE executive staff for review. Final approval will be given by the appropriate DFA OCSE executive staff or the DFA OCSE Administrator, as is appropriate.
8. Each IR will include a proposed communication plan or statement that communication is not needed due to the nature of the IR.
9. All final IRs shall be published to the OCSE executive staff Teams page.
Each IR will include a deadline to be determined by DFA OCSE IS staff and by which approval is requested.
The approval deadline may be extended if additional time for review or discussion is needed. If the scope of work changes after the IR was approved, a change request will be submitted.
