About this file
This document is a Section 017900 Demonstration and Training specification for the Utilities Infrastructure Project at Fermilab (Project No. PO 689280), dated October 13, 2023. The specification outlines comprehensive requirements for training Owner's personnel on system and equipment operation, maintenance, and documentation. Key requirements include developing detailed training modules for each system, creating instruction programs with specific learning objectives, and producing high-resolution digital video recordings of training sessions.
The specification mandates that training be conducted by qualified instructors and facilitators, with sessions occurring on-site using actual in-place equipment. Specific requirements include creating training modules covering system design, operational requirements, documentation review, emergency procedures, operations, adjustments, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. Video recordings must be in MPEG format, produced by a digital camera with at least 12 megapixels, and organized according to the Project Manual's table of contents. Each training module must be recorded in segments not exceeding 15 minutes, with continuous running time displayed and audio narration describing the equipment and procedures.
