About this file
This document is a comprehensive set of electrical construction drawings for a multi-building VA facility renovation project in Vancouver, Washington. The plans depict detailed electrical layouts, demolition requirements, and equipment specifications across multiple buildings (BLDG 013-027, Rooms M & A-117, RM 6 & A-117, and others) for a fully sprinklered construction project in the design-build phase.
The electrical work encompasses demolition and new installation of power distribution systems, including pad-mount transformers, switchboards, panelboards, and associated raceways and conductors. Key components specified include multiple 307/303 panels, XFMRs (transformers) at various kilovolt ratings (kVA), disconnect switches, surge protective devices, lighting fixtures, fire safety systems, emergency generator connections, and telecommunications infrastructure. The work is phased to minimize operational disruption, with specific shutdown coordination required on weekends only. Contractors must provide temporary mobile generators and power distribution during equipment transitions, handle all refueling and coordination logistics, perform circuit tracing to identify unknown circuits, and conduct comprehensive electrical testing and inspections per specifications before full commissioning and energization of new equipment. Site-specific electrical rooms, mechanical spaces, and utility coordination are detailed throughout the plans with corresponding key notes and general specifications addressing conductor sizing, conduit installation, grounding, and bonding requirements.
