About this file
This document is a comprehensive specification section (Section 03 30 00) for Cast-In-Place Concrete for the VA Atlanta Trinka Davis Veterans Village 12 Bed Community Living Center (CLC) project. The specification provides detailed technical requirements for concrete materials, mixing, fabrication, placement, and finishing, covering everything from aggregates and cement types to reinforcement, formwork, curing, and quality control standards.
Key technical details include requirements for concrete strength (ranging from 25-35 MPa), specific gravity, slump, air content, and mix design tolerances. The specification mandates adherence to American Concrete Institute (ACI) standards and includes extensive provisions for testing, quality assurance, and performance expectations. Specific requirements address structural performance, material properties, fabrication methods, reinforcement placement, joint treatments, and finishing techniques for various concrete applications, with particular attention to achieving precise dimensional tolerances, surface flatness, and structural integrity across different building components.
