Statement of Work Protective Coating
Building 112, E. McCaw St.
Joint Base Charleston, SC (Air Base)
June 2020
GENERAL: The work to be performed is the preparation, priming and painting of approximately 20,142 square feet of wall, doors and trim within the facility. Areas identified include: 15 classrooms, 1 breakroom, 2 office areas, entryways and hallway. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and storage for protective coating materials to perform the work requested. (Section 1.1.4)
LOCATION: Building 112, E. McCaw St., Joint Base Charleston, SC.
SCOPE OF WORK: The work includes but is not limited to the following items:
1. Surface Repair & Preparation:
Contractor shall accomplish approximately 52 sq. ft. of surface repairs (mud and/or tape) and prep all surfaces identified to accept paint. Areas not requiring painting shall be protected by the contractor to ensure no damage occurs. (Section 1.2.1.4)
2. Protective Coating Application:
Contractor shall apply approx. 20,142 of paint in accordance with paint product technical installation instructions and specifications. (Section 1.2.1.6) Paint colors will be identified by Facility Manager and COR and in accordance with Air Force Corporate Facility.
The following colors are approved for use per the Sherwin-Williams Paint Pallet:
Wall Colors SW 7073 (Nebulous White) SW 9101 (Tres Naturale)
SW 6385
Trim/Accent Colors SW 6122 (Camelback) SW 6123 (Baguette) SW 7039 (Virtual Taupe) SW 7046 (Anonymous) SW 0032 (Needlepoint Navy) SW 7740 (Messenger Bag)
Applicable Instructions:
Work areas may be occupied by the using activity during the course of work.
Caution must be taken to insure all safe work practices are adhered to while work is performed within the facility.
Contractor shall keep a clean work area daily. Paint spots, oil and stains upon adjacent surfaces shall be removed and the entire job left clean and acceptable. (Section 1.2.1.8)
