About this file
This is Addendum No. 1 to a contract for the Rehabilitate Hurricane Ridge Water System project, issued for a 2026 re-solicitation. The addendum corrects and clarifies information from the original 2025 stamped drawings and specifications, including errata, updated dates, typo corrections, coordinate/label corrections, and administrative updates.
General corrections address the existing 100,000-gallon CIP reinforced concrete reservoir and reference as-built record drawings available upon request. Key specification corrections include: updating the target contract start date from May 5, 2025 to May 11, 2026; updating the demolition work window start date from August 1, 2025 to August 1, 2026; revising final vegetation watering dates to September 14 through October 1, 2026; and adding new paragraph 1.8 addressing coordination with other concurrent contracts at the site. Section 01 27 00 clarifies that the line item includes replacement of all tank fill and distribution system piping with DR11 high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe and associated appurtenances. Drawing corrections substantially revise General Note 19 regarding the Temporary Water Service Plan, detailing a specific multi-phase sequence including system isolation, distribution main modifications, temporary water supply connections, pressure system installation of four 119-gallon pressure tanks, and restoration procedures after construction. Additional specification corrections add comprehensive asbestos-cement pipe (ACP) demolition requirements, including emergency response procedures, air monitoring plans, exposure limits, and Olympic Region Clean Air Agency (ORCAA) notification requirements with ten-day advance submission. Underground box loading requirements are updated to specify AASHTO H-20 loading compliance with SCTE 77 Tier 22 certification, prohibiting polymer concrete enclosures in deliberate vehicular traffic areas. Control wiring conduit routing revisions require shared conduit installations, and electrical control site plan notes specify the installation of a Rosemount 2051 pressure transmitter. Clarifications include detailed diagrams showing temporary water service locations and data on seasonal water and wastewater demands for 2024–2025 to assist contractor planning for peak-day demand scenarios significantly exceeding monthly averages. The addendum confirms that the pump house transformer labeled 14989, manufactured in 1984, is classified as a non-PCB transformer under 40 CFR 761, requiring no PCB sampling for disposal.

c. From UGB2 to UGB9: A new 2-inch conduit deviates from the water-line trench carrying only the conductors serving CP2, as shown on Sub Sheet E04.
d. Base Bid Requirement: Provide and coil a minimum of 100 feet of additional CP2 conductors within UGB9 for future extension by others.
e. Option B – Remote Monitoring (if awarded): Install new conduit from UGB9 to the Temporary Utility Building and complete the conductor installation to CP2 furnished and installed under this option.
f. Existing Conduits: Three existing 3-inch conduits (two occupied, one vacant) currently extend from X-UGB2 to the Temporary Utility Building, and a separate 3-inch conduit extends from X-UGB2 to the Temporary Trailers. These are shown in red below and in Figures 44, 45, and 49 of Addendum No. 3 – Hurricane Ridge Water System & Related Photos. Contractor shall be responsible for locating and avoiding damage to existing utilities.
4. Clarifications
• Temporary Water Service Plan Revisions to the temporary water service plan (General Note 19 on Sub Sheet G01) are provided above under Item 3, Drawing Corrections. Construction notes or callouts referring to “above-ground” temporary bypass piping for the reservoir fill, storage, or distribution lines do not apply to the corrected temporary configuration.
The illustration below identifies key locations referenced in the revised Temporary Water Service Plan and is provided for clarification only to assist in understanding system flow paths and construction sequencing.
19.c Disconnect 6” C900 water line from 6” AC distribution main and cap upstream of 1.5” HDPE service line to temporary facilities.
19.d Expose lines at Valve Box #2 and cross-connect 2” HDPE reservoir fill line to 2” HDPE comfort station service line to establish a direct flow path from well to temporary facilities.
19.e Connect pressure tanks to 1.5” HDPE service line for temporary facilities. This location is suggested because lines will be exposed for capping C900 water line in 19.c.

• Temporary Water Service Demand Typical water demand for the temporary trailers varies seasonally. Estimated demand is based on:
• Metered wastewater flow, which reflects wastewater generated solely from the temporary trailers; and
• Metered water production, which supplies both the temporary trailers and the two picnic-area comfort stations located along Hurricane Hill Road and operated seasonally (June–September).
The picnic-area comfort stations discharge to separate septic systems; therefore, their flows do not appear in the wastewater data.
The graphs below show average daily water and wastewater flows by month for 2024–2025 to assist the Contractor in planning for temporary water service.
Peak-day demands (e.g., holiday weekends) may be significantly higher than monthly averages and shall be accounted for in sizing and scheduling temporary water supply.
