About this file
This is a Budget Worksheet attachment for the Pathways to Multilingualism Grant (RFA S-58100-00017094) administered by the State of Oregon to support school districts in strengthening dual language education programs and tribal language revitalization initiatives. The grant funds are intended to support eligible Oregon educational entities through a one-year performance period from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. Applicants must complete the provided budget template to demonstrate how requested grant funds align with proposed programming and the three stated grant goals: implementing high-quality dual language programs prioritizing English learners, offering and supporting tribal language course options for language revitalization and preservation, and supporting all multilingual learners in earning the Seal of Biliteracy/Multiliteracy. The budget worksheet requires detailed line-item breakdowns across six expense categories: Staff Salaries and Benefits, Instructional Professional and Technical Services, Travel and Communications, Tuition, Supplies and Materials, and Other Expenses, with additional rows permitted as needed.
Grant applicants may request up to $50,000 in funding, with all expenditures required to directly align with the three stated grant goals. Allowable costs include educator professional learning for multilingual instruction and tribal language revitalization, instructional materials purchases for dual/heritage/tribal language curriculum and assessment tools, supplemental staffing support such as extra planning time and stipends, and family and community engagement initiatives. Indirect costs are allowable at the sponsoring organization's approved indirect rate, not to exceed 10 percent of total costs. Critically, funds cannot be used to pre-pay contracts for goods or services extending into future bienniums; all goods and services must be provided and implemented during the current performance period. Applicants must reference the 2023 Program Budgeting and Accounting Manual for object code definitions and comply with GSA guidelines for travel reimbursement and meal costs.
