About this file

This is a budget worksheet for the Pathways to Multilingualism Grants program administered by the Oregon Department of Education and Workforce. The grant program supports Oregon public school districts in implementing high-quality dual language programs, tribal language revitalization initiatives, and biliteracy/multiliteracy education. Applicants must complete the budget worksheet to demonstrate how requested grant funds will be allocated over a one-year performance period from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. The application deadline is July 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM via OregonBuys. A pre-application conference is scheduled for June 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM Pacific Time, and questions must be submitted by June 24, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Award notifications are anticipated for July 24, 2026.

Applicants may request grant amounts up to $50,000, with the program anticipating awards of up to 41 grants totaling approximately $2.05 million. The budget worksheet allows applicants to allocate funds across six expense categories: salaries and benefits, instructional and professional services, travel and communications, tuition, supplies and materials, and other expenses. Allowable costs include educator professional learning, instructional materials for dual language and tribal language curriculum, supplemental staffing support, and family and community engagement initiatives. Indirect costs are permitted up to 10 percent of the award. Rural and remote school districts located more than 25 miles from urban areas with populations exceeding 50,000 are eligible for priority point consideration. All goods and services must be provided and implemented during the performance period; prepayment for future biennium services is not permitted.
