About this file

This is a SiRcom SMART Alert (SiSA) software user manual, Version 3.0, dated April 2019. The document provides operational guidance for users of an integrated emergency alerting and site protection system designed to deliver visual warnings and instructions before, during, and after emergency situations.

The manual covers core system functionality including user sign-in procedures (supporting both Operator and Technician roles with case-sensitive passwords), navigation of facility/site maps, siren activation and status monitoring, silent testing capabilities, and system log review. The interface comprises five primary components: a Map Bar enabling zoom, map type selection, and multi-unit selection via shape drawing; an Action Bar providing access to alarm activation, public address functionality, status checks, and system logs; a View Filter for controlling unit visibility by type; a Legend displaying system health (Operational, Degraded, Unknown statuses); and User Control showing active user account information with sign-out functionality. The system supports multiple unit types (sirens, beacons, indoor/outdoor notification devices) with color-coded health status indicators. Users can select units individually via double-click or in bulk using rectangular selection tools, with options to deselect through the Selected Units dialog. System activation occurs through pre-defined scenario buttons or manual selection of stored alarms and messages, with confirmation dialogs to prevent accidental triggers. Individual siren health monitoring displays detailed component status (AC power, battery voltage, solar capability, amplifiers, drivers, doors). The software maintains compressed system logs in daily, monthly, and yearly folders with five-year retention capacity.
