About this file
This document is Appendix H: Special Contract Requirements for a naval contract at Naval Special Warfare, Group 8 IMD (NSWG-8) at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek, involving the installation of a 100T Mobile Boat Hoist (MBH). The requirements cover extensive facility-specific guidelines including ground loading characteristics, operational restrictions, security protocols, and safety mandates. Key requirements include mandatory escort for contractors, advanced notification for foreign nationals (25 business days), strict personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, fall protection protocols, and specific procedures for crane mobilization, assembly, installation, and testing.
Critical operational constraints include regular working hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday, prohibited items on base, mandatory identification badges, vehicle permits, and comprehensive safety briefings. Contractors must adhere to environmental protection laws, obtain proper approvals for work outside regular hours, and follow specific guidelines for utility services, emergency response, and potential hazardous chemical exposure. Additional COVID-19 requirements mandate contractors obtain and follow updated naval activity access protocols, with potential access denial for non-compliance.
