About this file

This is a Direct Labor Burden Calculation form issued by the State of Colorado Office of the State Architect, State Buildings Program, for use by Colorado Northwestern Community College in connection with project EM2624, the Yaeger Structural Stabilization and Repairs project. The form is a required submission for review prior to execution of any construction agreement and serves as the basis for establishing labor overhead rates that will be incorporated into the contract as part of Exhibit A and used in calculating future change order proposals. The document requests itemization of labor burden percentages by category, including payroll taxes, pension costs, health and dental insurance, life insurance, and other specified benefits that contractors pay to employees on their payroll.

The form requires separate Labor Burden Calculation Sheets to be submitted for the primary contractor and each major subcontractor, including trades such as electricians, plumbers, mechanical contractors, excavators, millwork, and concrete specialists. The calculated labor burden percentage must be mutually agreed upon by both the contractor and the Principal Representative before contract execution. The State reserves the right to require backup documentation and confirmation of all information included in the labor burden calculations. These established rates will be used consistently in the calculation of any subsequent change order proposals under the contract provisions outlined in SC-6.312.
